About Jacob

Jacob holds a BA in Music with an emphasis in theory and composition from the University of Wyoming. There, he studied saxophone under Dr. Scott Turpin while actively performing with various professional and non-professional musical groups. Jacob began teaching music in Wyoming for pre-school and elementary aged children, and later directed the Ka'u O'hana Band in Hawaii. He has been a middle school band director for Charleston County School District since 2016.

Jacob is a well-qualified instructor of band instruments, and specializes in woodwinds, classical, pop, and jazz styles. Jacob is continuing his education at the College of Charleston, working for his Masters in Music Education.
