About Jacob

I am a music teacher and performing musician living in Columbus. I play stringed instruments including guitar, mandolin, banjo, and fiddle and have taught private lessons and workshops. I will always remember what it was like to be in the early stages of learning a musical instrument; it helps me relate to my students. Progress is success.

A music lesson should be fun and engaging. My goals are to help my students reach their goals. People are wonderful, and I love working with them.

Music has allowed me to have my best experiences and meet my best friends. I have traveled all over the US with other musicians, and spent 3 months playing music in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Czech. My band, Donkey Nation, competed in the traditional band contests at the Clifftop and Galax fiddler conventions in 2015 and won 3rd and 5th place, respectively.
