About Me

Jimmy is a recent recipient of an M.M. in tuba performance from the University of Cincinatti College-Conservatory of Music (Cincinatti Conservatory). He has fifteen years of experience performing in ensembles ranging from solo and quintet/quartet work to full-sized orchestras. His recent achievements include placing third in the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference Mock Military Band competition, being principal tubist with the (now defunct) Ohio Metropolitan Pops Orchestra, subbing for the principal tuba of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, and being offered a job to play with both the Army and Navy Fleet Bands. His recent recording sessions include Kenneth Tse with the Atlanta Symphonic Winds, "In the World of Spirits" with the Emory Symphonic Winds, and Phil Smith(former principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic) with the Columbus State University Wind Ensemble.

He also has a healthy obsession with bass guitar and sound/recording equipment.
