About Jasmine

A native of the D.C. metropolitan area, Jasmine LaChaé began her classical training in singing and piano at Suitland High School in Forestville, MD. She has participated in and won numerous choral competitions and festivals, including Florilege Vocal de Tours 2011 in Tours, France and the 10th World Symposium on Choral Music in Seoul, South Korea. She has performed in televised events such as Christmas In Washington, and President Obama's inaugural concert on HBO.
Jasmine is an alumna of the University of Maryland, earning her Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance under the instruction of Delores Ziegler and direction of Dr. Edward Maclary in UMD's most elite vocal ensemble, Chamber Singers. She also studied musical theater with Scot Reese at the university. She will soon be matriculating from the music program at the Catholic University of America under the instruction of James Hampton and Jose Ramos Santana.
Jasmine is passionate about sharing her love of music and the arts. She believes that learning music should be an experience that is fun, enlightening, and liberating for learners of all ages and stages.
