I believe each singer at any age can sing at his or her personal best with a solid and age-appropriate understanding of the vocal mechanism and with the voice that is his or her individual gift. I teach healthy and joyful singing, regardless of the genre.

About Jean Ellen Linkins
Dr. Linkins is certified in the Lovetri Contemporary Commercial Music Method, and has a BA (Vocal Arts) from Empire State College (SUNY), a Master of Music/Music Education from The Eastman School of Music, and an EdD (Elementary Education/Music Emphasis) from Bob Jones University. Dr. Linkins’ Dissertation and subsequent book are titled A Song from the Heart: The Pedagogical Philosophy of Lorna Lutz Heyge, PhD. Dr. Heyge founded both the original Kindermusik curriculum and the present Musikgarten curriculum.
Dr. Linkins is a part-time music education professor at Anderson University, teaching both graduate and undergraduate music education courses. She is an active singer in both church choir and the GAMAC Chorale. She has presented both secular and sacred song recitals, has performed in musicals and operas, has been active in music ministry singing Spirituals, Southern Gospel, Contemporary, and Classical songs.
