About Me

In high school, Jean was drum major of the marching band, played in both the jazz and pit orchestras, and took AP Music Theory. Jean later went on to receive a Bachelors of Science in Music Education at Kutztown University. Her concentration was in the saxophone, and her main instrument is the baritone saxophone. While in college, Jean was the bari player at the university's top jazz band, section leader of the saxophone section in marching band, was a lead music theory tutor, and participated in the wind ensemble. She was also able to study clarinet, flute, and bassoon.

Jean currently the high school band director at Waldwick High School and has prior experience teaching elementary band, saxophone and clarinet at summer music programs, and high school marching band. Knowing that it is important to keep up with her musical abilities, she is also playing alto saxophone with the Ramsey Wind Symphony. She tailors to the needs of individual students and will do her best to provide an ample education based on teacher and student goals. Jean is excited to expand upon her experiences in music education and teach private lessons with Music and Arts.
