About Jennifer

Jennie Huntoon is an active composer, choral musician, and music educator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Composition and Music History from Hood College and is currently completing a Master of Arts from Eastern Illinois University, and has studied composition with Dr. Bradley Decker and Dr. Wayne Wold, conducting with Dr. Richard Rossi, voice with Dr. Marilyn Coles, and piano with Dr. Noel Lester. She is a frequent collaborator with playwright/director Malissa Petterson and Broom Street Theatre in Madison, WI. 
A lifelong choral singer, Jennie can currently be found performing with the Choral Arts Society of Frederick and on the guest singer roster of the Choral Arts Society of Washington, DC. While in graduate school, she was a touring member of the EIU Concert Choir and co-founded the Eastern Illinois New Music Ensemble, a group dedicated to connecting composers with performers in premiering new works.
