MUSIC AWARDS AND COMPETITIONS AND FESTIVALS
In 1986, won an award at the national level in the AMSA Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 1988, winner in the Queens Teen Talent Competition sponsored by the Queens Council of the Arts.
In 1988, received the Dianna Flagello Scholarship Award for Excellence in Percussion at the Manhattan School of Music Prep Division.
In 1990, as a member of the International Artists Alliance and the Albeniz Institute of Music, received its highest honor for a young pianist, the Angela Quintana Award.
In 1992, was awarded The Berdeshevsky Scholarship Fund Grant for her musical studies at Hunter College in New York City where she had been a scholarship student in the Music Department since 1989.
Attended the Greensboro Eastern Music Festival as an orchestral Percussionist in 1993.
Attended the Leigh Howard Stevens Marimba Seminar Summer of 1991 to study under Leigh Howard Stevens and Gordon Stout.
Studied Piano with Ubaldo Diaz-Acosta and Percussion with Greg Zuber and Jeff Kraus in New York City.
