Jody Hugues has been performing, teaching and writing music for over 25 years. Jody performs as a solo acoustic multi-instrumentalist (banjo/guitar) around the Southeastern U.S. In addition, he performs as a member of the Chuck Nation Bluegrass band and in the unique Banjo + Cello duo called Bow N' Banjo. Jody considers himself very fortunate to have played prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium. He was a private student of jazz pianist Kevin Bales for a number of years, studying jazz improvisation and music theory. His wide range of skillsets in the genres of folk, bluegrass, jazz, and classical music allow him to bring a unique teaching perspective with his students.
