Our Mission
Here at Music & Arts, music is at the very heart of who we are and what we do. With over 150 locations nationwide, we’ve become a big company over the past 65 years, but nothing means more to us than seeing music’s powerful impact on a personal level in the communities we serve. We provide a one-stop shopping experience to parents, students, music educators and musicians nationwide that includes private music instruction, instrument sales, repairs and rentals. Music is our passion, and we’re honored to be the nation’s most reliable music resource.

In Anne Arundel County, our store services the following communities: Annapolis, Arnold, Severna Park, the Broadneck Peninsula, Millersville, Crofton, Crownsville, Linthicum, Linthicum Heights, Brooklyn Park, Cape St Claire, Deale, Edgewater, Fort Meade, Glen Burnie, Odenton, Parole, Pasadena, Riva, Rivera Beach, Severn, Shady Side, Gambrills, Gibson Island, Harmons, and Lothian. On the Eastern Shore, we serve customers from the areas of Stevensville, Queenstown, Chestertown, Easton, and St. Michaels.
We’re located in the Lochmanns Plaza Shopping Center on Governor Ritchie Highway and West McKinsey Road. Our store has the wild fortune of being located in one of the most gorgeous places in the country: Chesapeake Bay. We’re on the Broadneck Peninsula between the Severn and Magothy Rivers.

Our store is sandwiched between the two incredible music scenes in Baltimore and Washington DC, but did you know that a few hugely influential musicians got their start right here in Severna Park? Everyone from world famous operatic baritone Frank Valentino to Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman learned developed their musical craft here in Severna Park and you can too with some private music lessons taught right in our store!

Our line of Band and Orchestra instruments is just as impressive. We carry Buffet, Yamaha, Gemeinhardt, Getzen, Jupiter, Bundy, Vincent Bach, Powell, Ventus, Verve, as well as Otto Benjamin and Dragon string instruments along with the strings of Eastman Strings and Howard Core.
