About Me

Graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, violinist Jordan Johnson has freelanced in the Washington D.C./Metro area since 2010. He has performed and recorded with many of the area's talented ensembles including: the University of Maryland Repertoire Orchestra, the UMD Symphony Orchestra, Anne Arundel County Symphony Orchestra, Peabody Youth Orchestra, and Avanti Orchestra. During his undergraduate matriculation, Jordan had the opportunity to study under Dr. Gerald Fischbach, Dr. James Stern, orchestral excerpts with Dr. Elisabeth Adkins, and chamber music with David Salness, Evelyn Elsing and violist Greg Luce of the Aeolus Quartet.
As an instructor, Jordan has spent summers giving orchestral coachings at the Anne Arundel County Public Schools Summer Music Camps at Arlington Echo and more recently at the NorthBay Outdoor Adventure Camp. He holds two private teaching studios at Music & Arts Oxon Hill, and Rockville stores.
