About Me

Joe Hill has been teaching guitar and bass since 2002. The focus of his lessons is to have fun while learning the fundamentals of music and beyond. In addition to music theory, he enjoys teaching many different styles including metal, jazz and alternative to name a few. He works with students whose age ranges from 8 to 65+, and all ages in between. Joe is very patient and thorough when teaching young kids and adults how to read and play music. His lessons are tailored to the individual student and private instruction provides the perfect opportunity for his students to learn and excel.

Joe began playing guitar at the age of 11 and by age 15 he was playing and recording his own original songs with his brother and childhood friends, this group later evolved into the locally prominent, band Spiderworks. In 2003, Joe was asked to join Grammy nominated artist, Alien Ant Farm. With this band he toured the United States, Mexico and played festivals in New Zealand. He has performed on national television and radio and was featured in Guitar Player Magazine. He currently performs and records with the band Bucksworth and his latest project, /mek/.
