About Karen Seelenbinder
At the age of eight, Karen began studying clarinet and she embarked on her teaching career when she was seventeen. As a teen-ager, one of the many highlights of going to Groveport Madison High School was participating in the OMEA contests. These offered great opportunities to play at high levels of excellence. Some of the organizations Karen played with included the Ohio Wesleyan Ensemble, Columbus Youth Symphony, Columbus Youth Wind Ensemble, and the Ohio State Fair Youth Symphony.
Karen has been a guest soloist in several churches and assisted care facilities. Currently, she is the primary clarinetist in the MCC orchestra.
Piano is a wonderful instrument for beginning musicians. Karen began playing when she was six years old. She started teaching piano when she was a junior in high school.
