About Keeley Hard

Hi there! My name is Keeley Hard, and I am a Music Education major at the University of Houston, Moores School of Music. My professor is Vagram Saradjian, a former student of the renowned cellist, Mstislav Rostropovich. Under his tutelage, I have studied several great works including the Saint-Saens, Haydn, and Elgar Cello Concertos. Thanks to his instruction, I have been able to expand my teaching to students of all levels. Prior to attending the University of Houston, I studied with Ms. Jurga Miakonkich in high school. I have been playing the cello for eleven years, and I love every second of it!

I have performed with the AFA Summer Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, the Sam Houston State University Symphony Orchestra, Pasadena Philharmonic, and I am currently a member of the Moores School Symphony Orchestra.

I have been teaching privately for three years. I currently teach students with a wide range of levels in Deer Park ISD. I work intricately with each student to make sure they are getting lessons tailored specifically to their level, and the rate at which they advance. It’s very important to me that all of my students feel like they are being challenged just enough. For my beginner and younger students, I focus on setup, rhythm, and coordination. For my advanced and older students, I will begin introducing higher level scales as well as more interactive repertoire.

I am so excited to begin my career at Music & Arts, and I can’t wait to meet you and start your journey with music!
