About Kristina

Kristina is one of our voice and piano instructors. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University in Choral Music Education and a minor in Leadership Studies. She then completed the Master of Arts in Teaching program at CNU. Kristina is a Soprano who has experience singing classical, musical theater, and jazz repertoire. She directed and performed with CNU’s vocal jazz ensemble, Uncommon|Ground. Kristina also recently traveled with the CNU Chamber Choir for their tour of Italy, Germany, and Austria. During her Master’s studies at CNU, Kristina was privileged to participate in a choral apprenticeship and conducting lessons with Robert Shoup, the Chorusmaster of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Upon completion of her Master’s degree in May 2016, Kristina taught high school music at Mathews High School in Mathews, VA for two years. She currently is the choir director at Gloucester High School. In addition, she conducts the Courthouse Community Orchestra. This group rehearses and performs in Gloucester and Mathews.
