About Kristopher Louis

I started playing guitar in the summer of 2004 and played in my local church band where I lead our high school group. The summer after high school I began playing electric bass and played with various local bands as well as teaching guitar privately to students mostly from the church. In 2015 I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in electric bass performance and moved to Nashville. I'm currently a touring freelance bass player for bands and artists playing country, blues, rock, soul, funk, and r&b.

Being a bass player predominantly, I believe that rhythm is one of the most important aspects of music and carry that idea to my guitar lessons. In our lessons I like to work on songs the student already enjoys listening to in order to keep interest, and through these songs we talk about the music theory concepts that make them work. These concepts help to make even beginning students not just guitar or bass players but musicians themselves.
