About Me

Kyle Moreen is a woodwinds specialist, composer, and educator from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He began playing saxophone at 11 years old. Kyle received a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance and Composition from Whitworth University. He also received a Master of Music in Jazz Saxophone Performance from the University of Miami, where he studied with Gary Keller. In recent years, he has studied and performed on flute and clarinet in addition to saxophone. Kyle currently lives in Albany, New York, working as a freelance performer and educator.

During his 16 years of experience as a saxophone player, Kyle has had the opportunity to study and play various styles of music including classical, jazz, funk, and pop. He has performed in wind ensembles, jazz ensembles, jazz combos, saxophone quartets, pit orchestras, pop bands, and more. He has had the opportunity to share the stage with Kenny Barron, Chris Potter, Rosario Giuliani, Arturo Sandoval, Jon Secada, and Monica Mancini.
