About Laura Hallock
She has been teaching in her studio for four years, as well as directing her youth cello choir and strings chamber ensemble. Her students compete locally through district competitions as well as state competitions.
She brings to each lesson classical concepts along with music theory, yet cultivates creative spontaneity through musical phrasing/listening skills. A motivated student can observe/learn many techniques from her instruction. Students will discover strong listening skills while developing their own musical style. Using creative teaching methods, expect lessons to be upbeat and packed with a generous dose of fun!
Motherhood became her first priority after college, where Laura chose to solely home school her four children, and is currently in her eleventh year of teaching. Just four years ago, Laura's passion for cello ignited as teaching opportunities surfaced. And here we are!
