Lena Lien currently resides in the New York area, working as a teacher, musician, composer, arranger, and orchestrator.
For the past 15 years, Lena has maintained a studio designed to teach students of all ages and abilities. Her concepts of tone production, aural skills and music appreciation have harvested great results in the US and Europe.
Her compositional background includes theatrical works, and a wide variety of arrangements for classical and jazz ensembles, used for live performances and studio recordings.
Her arrangements for musical works include "Singing in the Rain","Sweeney Todd", and "Fiddler on the Roof".
As a woodwind player, she performs with her own band Nordic Vessel, and tours with Broadway Rox and The Rock Tenor, created by the renowned Broadway production company, Nederlander, famous for musicals such as Hello, Dolly!, West Side Story, Spiderman, and Cats.
