About Lee

Lee Donovan

My Website:

Originally from Portland, Maine, Lee has been a professional musician and singer since high school, and a guitar instructor for the past eleven years.

Specializing in "Beginning Guitar", he has taught privately, as well as for both the Wheaton and Glen Ellyn  Recreation Depts.

Lee is a very patient teacher, making sure lessons are enjoyable, fun, comfortable and stress free. Each student is allowed to learn at their own pace.

An accomplished performer/singer/songwriter, playing 6 string guitar and 5-string banjo, he teaches both flatpick and finger style techniques in all musical genres (except Jazz & Classical), including:  Blues, Rock, Pop, Folk, Country, R&B, Bluegrass, Traditional Americana & Standards.

Instruction in performing techniques is also available for those wishing to take things to a higher level.

A Naperville resident, Lee performs regularly as a solo act and with an acoustic group.  He is a member of the Plank Road Folk Music Society in Downers Grove.
