About Linda Allison
Linda Ann Allison has been enthusiastically teaching trumpet pedagogy in Ohio for more than 25 years. She attended The Ohio State University as a Music Education major and graduated from Otterbein University with a degree in Music & Business and Trumpet Performance. She is an active brass clinician and has worked with several Marching & Wind Bands over the years. She is a former member of the Bridgemen Drum & Bugle Corps from Bayonne New Jersey, The Ohio Collegiate Brass Band, Chapel Brass Band and the Central Ohio Brass Band. She is an active freelance musician and is currently performing with her own groups as both a brass soloist and vocalist. These groups are, L.A. Allison & the Alley Cats, jazz; Staggering Strayhorns, a fun time tailgate band and Winds of Change, a classical-hot jazz brass quintet.
Linda is incredibly proud of all of her students who are not only actively performing in their own school programs but are also participating in the many outstanding musical programs offered to the area's best young instrumentalists in and around Columbus.
Linda believes that music unites people in an unparalleled, joyful and extraordinary way, teaches important skills and forms friendships that last a lifetime.
