About Me

My repair career got started while I was a music student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. At the time, Melody Choplin was the repair tech at the school, and she took me under her wing. I learned just enough to know that I really enjoyed the details and mechanics of instruments, so in 2010 after I graduated with my B.A. in Music, I packed up and moved to Red Wing, Minnesota. I studied at Minnesota State College Southeast (as it’s now called) in their one year program to earn my Diploma in Instrument Repair.

I took my first job in Anderson, SC at Draisen Edwards Music, and after working there six and a half years, I felt confident to take on a job here in Asheville, NC working for The Music Center. Since then, we’ve joined the Music and Arts family and I am proud to still be here providing quality repairs!

It seems like there’s always a section of a bio where people talk about their hobbies, but I hop between so many that it’s hard to nail it down in a few words. Needless to say, I take up almost anything that will make me think or make me use my hands. If you add my love of food and forays into home brewing, I certainly feel right at home here in Asheville.
