Marilee Joy Eckert has a B.A. and B.M. from the University of Washington in piano performance.
She received the William Schuman Scholarship to the Julliard School in NYC, where she completed her M.M. degree.
She performed at Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Lincoln Center in NYC, and recorded with MUSAK Ltd. for Nordstrom.
Recipient of the Steinway Scholarship, Miss Marilee pursued doctoral studies at Columbia University in early childhood music education while residing as professor of piano and theory at Nyack College in N.Y.
Miss Marilee is currently an active member in county, state and national music teacher organizations, having served as adjudicator and chair for many music programs.
One of the values she holds is fostering motivation from the student by helping them discover their own unique interests and gifts in music.
Of personal musical note, Miss Marilee trains up many skillful musicians for the worship of God through Jesus Christ.
