About Megan

Megan Satterfield is a violinist and music instructor at Music & Arts in Wilmington, North Carolina. With 20 years of experience, Megan has dedicated her life to playing violin, and the education of others. She has been performing in orchestras since the age of 7 years old, and has continued to perform with various groups, and solo performances. In 2018, Megan graduated with her Associates of Art in Music Education, with a concentration on Violin Performance. Megan studied with mentor Philip Singleton at Cape Fear Community College for the length of her degree, and also performed with the Tallis Chamber Orchestra. 

After gradution, Megan continued her education at the University of North Carolina WIlmington, pursuing a Bachelors in Music Education. Megan then began to study with Dr. Danijela Zezelj-Gualdi for violin. During her time at UNCW, Megan was the concertmaster of the UNCW String Ensemble, performed in departmentals, and also took part in many masterclasses. 

Megan now enjoys spending time with her new husband, going to the beach, walking her dogs, working part time, and of course, teaching violin. She also enjoys taking part in the local theatre, by performing violin in the orchestra pit at legendary Thalian Hall. Megan has performed in the off Broadway version of, "The Bridges of Madison County" [2017], and also "A Christmas Carol: A Musical" [2018].
