About Melinda Wade-English

Flutist Melinda Wade-English holds a Bachelor of Music from the
University of North Texas, a Master of Music from Catholic
University of America in Washington D.C., and
a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Flute Performance degree from
Texas Tech University. She has taught on the Woodwind Faculty
at Texas A&M at Tarleton University, Peabody Conservatory
Preparatory Division of Johns Hopkins University, Salisbury
University, Anne Arundel Community College, and the United
States Naval Academy. She has played flute and piccolo with
Opera Vivente of Baltimore, the Maryland Philharmonic, the
Annapolis Chorale Orchestra, the Annapolis Opera Orchestra, the
Atlantic Winds Woodwind Quintet, the Arundel Winds, the United
States Army Field Band, the Mid- Atlantic Symphony, the
Salisbury Symphony, the Roswell Symphony, the Lubbock Ballet
Orchestra, the Symphony of the Hills, and the Baltimore
Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Wade-English has given solo flute
performances throughout the United States and internationally.
