He has experience with students ranging from age 9 to 59, teaching all levels and many styles of music from classical to jazz to funk. Mike has a great deal of interest in music education, sparked by his time at the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz at The Hartt School, where Jackie’s motto was always “Each One Teach One”. In addition to the saxophone, he is also available for beginner flute, beginner clarinet, music theory, songwriting/composition, and jazz improvisation lessons.
Mike custom tailors all lessons to fit each students individual needs, while making lessons both fun and challenging. Mike has established himself as an excellent saxophone/woodwinds teacher in the greater Avon, CT and Hartford, CT areas.
