Michelle received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance, summa cum laude, from Furman University and her Master of Music in violin performance from University of North Carolina Greensboro. While at Furman, she had the opportunity to study and perform at the Accademia dell'Arte in Tuscany, Italy for the duration of the fall in 2010.
She has had the privilege of performing alongside renowned musicians Mannheim Steamroller Orchestra, Joshua Bell, Cleveland Orchestra concertmaster Bill Preucil, and under the baton of Boston Pops and BBC Concert Orchestra conductor Keith Lockhart, among others.
Her professional orchestral experience includes Hendersonville and Fayetteville Symphonies in North Carolina, as well as the chamber ensembles Casella Sinfonietta, Gate City Camerata, and Fayetteville Chamber Strings. She is currently a member of Temple Symphony Orchestra in Temple, TX.

"I want my students to be able to leave my studio and consider the music they are playing, to know there is a method to the madness in what I ask them to do, and to understand and appreciate the music in its entirety! Music is so much more enjoyable and personally rewarding if the musician is not just robotically following directions, if they know what they're trying to accomplish and why. And it doesn't matter to me if you have been playing for 2 weeks or 20 years, if you are playing an instrument then you are a musician in my book!"
