About Me

Hello, I'm Miriam Zielinski. I moved to Colorado three years ago after I graduated from Manchester University in Indiana. I started band in the fifth grade with the flute and moved to saxophone in high school, while still playing flute on occassion for jazz band. In college I started as a music education major with a concentration in band before switching to a general music degree with a concentration in tenor saxphone. I went through all the technique classes, giving me a general idea of all main band and orchestra instruments. I also was part of most of the ensembles on campus including concert band, jazz band, a cappella choir, and cantabile as well as running the campus hand bell choir. I conducted and was a ringer for a local church on the side.

I highly recomend taking lessons with Jim Stranahan. He's been teaching for a long time so he has the skill, but as a person he's just a chill guy. He just a chill interesting guy to be around and take lessons from.
