About Momina Di Blasio
Hi! My name is Momina Di Blasio and I’ve been playing clarinet since I was 11 and saxophone since I was 14. I have experience playing both classical and jazz (on both) and have finally settled into majoring in classical saxophone. I have an Associate’s Degree in Music from Northern Virginia Community College and am in the process of transferring to George Mason University and will hopefully start this fall 2017.
I have studied under John Kocur, head of the NOVA jazz department and local jazz artist, and Ricky Parrell, alto saxophone player for the United States Air Force Band. I play in community concert and jazz bands in the area and sub often for others. I have had experience teaching privately, running saxophone sectionals for local middle schools, and have worked as a counselor for the NOVA summer band camp for three years.
