About Glenn

My passion for teaching is rooted and developed in over forty five years of playing and professional music experience. I bring a diverse and broad music background into the lesson experience.

I instruct in drum set, band and concert percussion, and world drumming (Djembe, Conga , etc..). I enjoy instructing and mentoring students of various backgrounds and ages, from beginners to advanced level players.

My students learn drumming and percussion skills for a variety of musical styles: Rock, Jazz, Funk/Fusion, World Grooves,  Afro Latin styles, and Band & Orchestra.

My teaching methods and lessons are personalized to the individual needs & learning styles of each student, with emphasis upon the skills and knowledge needed to excel in all music genres, whether in small groups (Rock to Jazz), or large (Jazz and Concert band, Orchestra).

I regularly perform with Vital Signs, Soul Survivor, The Jazz Misfits, Paul Johnson & Friends, John Groves Jazz, and Lake Tapps Christian Church. I performed for many years with The Tommy Wall Band, The Kings of Swing, Critical Mass and MOJO Big Bands, and recently with Mach One Jazz Orchestra. I have numerous performance credits with dozens of Musical Theater productions as well.

I am very excited to now be a part of the MUSIC & ARTS lesson program since April 2014. I successfully taught with Mills Music store since 2001, prior to their joining the MUSIC & ARTS family. I would be privileged to be a part of your student's and or your musical journey.
