Olivia Seidel, originally from Williston, North Dakota, began violin at age 6 and continued into high school where she studied violin with Suzuki violin instructor Trish Hinkel. She was a member of the Minot Symphony Orchestra during their 2013-2014 season and was selected to play in the North Dakota All State Orchestra all four years of high school, from 2011-2014. She was accepted to the University of North Dakota and graduated in May 2018 with a bachelors degree (BM) in Music Education where she studied violin with Dr. Alejandro Drago. Olivia was an active member of the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra (GGFSO) as the section leader of the Violin 2 section under the direction of Dr. Alejandro Drago from 2016-2018 and has also performed in multiple professional ensembles with the Grand Forks Master Chorale under the direction of Dr. Joshua Bronfman and Dr. Dean Jilek. Other performing experiences includes collaborations with the UND Allegro Women's Choir, UND Concert Choir, and various weddings, funerals, and UND string department recitals and concerts. Olivia was also a private instructor at the Arioso Music Academy in Grand Forks, ND from 2015-2018 where she taught violin and piano. Olivia currently teaches violin, viola, piano, voice, and cello at Music and Arts in Bothell, WA.
