About Philip

If you would like to just learn to read music and go for a full brain workout, play piano for your own enjoyment, get old piano pieces back into your fingers and perhaps perform, then consider signing up for lessons with Philip at Music & Arts located at 159 Graceland Boulevard, Worthington, Ohio.  The phone number is 614-880-1000 and the website address is:  worthingtonmgr@musicarts.com.

Perhaps you always wanted to learn to play the piano or keyboard but never signed up for music lessons.  Maybe you once studied and would like to get those pieces you once learned back into your fingers.  If you teach music, maybe you want a refresher course in piano or need to further your studies in piano technique, music theory, composition or music history.  It doesn’t matter what your profession or status in life as a young child, parent, educator, medical doctor, lawyer, etc… I know that I can help you learn to read music and enjoy it as a lifetime activity.

Likewise, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced piano student, I want to instruct you with a comprehensive music lesson involving piano technique, theory, memorizing and or reading piano pieces in any style.  You may also show an interest in composition and/or music history as well.  Studies show that studying a musical instrument involves working both sides of the human brain.  So you get a full brain workout at a music lesson with your own practice on that instrument while building progress as a musician and enhancing other life skills such as mathematics, building confidence, performance opportunities and a lifetime investment.

So sign up now at Worthington Music & Arts located at the Graceland Shopping Center.  Contact the store managers and associates at 614-880-1000 and request Philip for an instructor on Tuesdays.  The lesson fee is $24.50 for thirty minutes.  As a permanent professional nationally certified teacher of music with Music Teachers National Association and music degrees from Wittenberg University and Ohio University, many of my students enjoy fun activities with MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) and NFMC (National Federation of Music Clubs).  Some younger and adult students appreciate events such as; Scale Olympics, District Festivals, Graves Piano Solo and Ensemble Competitions, Pianorama and other performance opportunities.  Some students also like to get involved with solo and/or piano ensemble playing with at least two Studio Recitals scheduled twice annually.  Feel free to give us a call and do a meet and greet or sign up for lessons right away.  Thanks!
