About Me

Philip is a woodwind instructor, performer, and composer/arranger. He teaches all woodwind instruments, including flute, clarinets, and saxophones. He has a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies - Saxophone Performance from University of North Florida. At that time, he also worked as the director of Music at Davis Performing Arts Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Later, Philip moved to New Jersey to study Jazz Composition and Arranging at William Paterson University, from which he graduated in 2015 with a Master's degree.

Philip plays in Big Beat, a 19-piece big band, as well as Phil Presents Gil, a 12-piece big band that performs revived and unpublished music of composer Gil Evans.
