Teaching Philosophy: As a multi instrumentalist I believe that an understanding of music theory (or the hows and whys of music) can allow a musician to learn to express themselves in many genres and on as many instruments as one desires and there is nothing I enjoy more in life than sharing this experience with my students
Get to know Randall Ward
Mr. Ward graduated from Appalachian State with a bachelors in music education in 2002 and has been an instructor at Music and Arts ever since. In his nearly 18 years with the company he has taught guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele and french horn. During this time he has performed extensively on these instruments as well as trumpet, trombone and keyboards in many styles including jazz, classical, rock, reggae, ska, and funk among others.
