Areas of Instruction
Rebecca has a varied background of music experience. Singing and playing piano for well over 30 years, she is privately trained in classical piano and popular voice, as well as acoustic guitar. She has an AS degree from NVCC in audio engineering and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Virginia in interdisciplinary liberal arts and music with a concentration in psychology. She has worked in recording studios, volunteered in radio stations, performed as part of a live acoustic duo regularly gigging in the Baltimore area, and sat in as judge for FOX producers in a local round of American Idol competition. Rebecca has 13 years of teaching experience, 6 of which were at the now nationally renowned School of Rock, where she taught private lessons and directed and produced shows with groups of students of every age.
Rebecca teaches beginner through advanced intermediate piano (both classical and popular) ages 7 and up, beginner through advanced intermediate voice (popular style only) ages 11 and up, and beginner to early intermediate guitar (acoustic steel string) ages 10 and up, as well as music theory.
