Our Mission

Here at Music & Arts, our passion is to connect people of all ages, interests and backgrounds with the power of music. Since opening our first store all the way back in 1952, we’ve been owned and operated by the same family, and strong values inform everything we do as a company. We offer a comprehensive music shopping experience to our customers that offers excellent private music instruction, instrument sales, rentals, repairs, music accessories and a wide selection of music books and sheet music. With over 150 locations nationwide, we’re a big company, but we’ve never lost focus on music’s profound impact on an individual level.

Welcome to Music & Arts located in beautiful Midlothian! We serve students, parents, music educators and musicians in Chesterfield County and the surrounding areas of Richmond, Bon Air, Maymont, Granite, Wilkinson Terrace, Tarrington, Lorraine, Tuckahoe, Dumbarton, Lakeside, Woodlake, Brandermill, Chesterfield, Chester, Windsor Hills, Williamson Farms, Varina, Whitlock Estates and more!

We’re conveniently located right off the Midlothian Turnpike and the Powhite Parkway in the Steinmart Festival Shopping Center. We’re just down the street from Johnston-Willis Hospital, and are lucky to be a short walk away from the gorgeous Huguenot Park. When you’re finished shopping with us, go practice your instrument there under the shade of a tree!

With all our instruments 100% rent-to-own, this is the perfect way to test the musical waters without committing a big purchase.
