With a decade of experience teaching piano and trumpet lessons to students ranging from four years of age all the way through grandparenthood, Samuel loves sharing the joys of music. For incredible coaching on trumpet, he offers sincere thanks to Greg Holland and Keith Matthews, as well as to the late but great Fred Mills, member of the Canadian Brass, who offered impressive commentary from the University of Georgia.
Working under the baton of Rudy Gilbert while at Norcross High School near the Forum greatly added to Samuel’s musical education style. Samuel sincerely believes in the necessity of working to an individual’s strengths and interests to help the student reach his or her greatest possible potential.
On piano, major influences include Billy Joel and Elton John, but he greatly enjoys the soothing sounds of Simon and Garfunkel or James Taylor, the classic rock of the bands Aerosmith and Chicago, and the exciting punchiness of hip-hop/Broadway phenomenon Lin-Manuel Miranda.
