About Scott Morgan
Scott first began guitar at age 11 & began studying with several different teachers in the NY area; briefly including jazz legend Chuck Wayne at Westchester Conservatory. Scott grew up playing mostly classic rock, southern rock, & blues. However, he quickly developed a passion for jazz fusion and began to incorporate that style into his playing. He then began to study African drumming under master drummers and went on to teach it himself at Westchester Center for the Arts. He is a multi-instrumentalist and plays many genres of music which he incorporates into his recordings and performances. Scott was featured in the 1997 Guitar Player Magazine 30th anniversary issue, under the artist spotlight section. Also, his album “Passages” was reviewed in the LA paper “Musician’s Exchange” with high remarks. He is now working on his sixth album.
