Stephen has been a piano instructor in the greater Greensboro area for four years, and has extensive experience with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginning children to college students and even adults. Originally from Western New York, Stephen has completed a bachelor's degree at SUNY Fredonia and received his master's from The Boston Conservatory. He is now in the process of finishing his DMA at UNCG, where he has completed a certificate in music theory and pedagogy in addition to piano performance. Stephen's students regularly compete in the NCMTA competitions every spring. Stephen is experienced in a variety of styles. While he is a specialist in classical music, he also works as a professional church musician and a vocal accompanist. His teaching philosophy emphasizes both hard work and enjoyment, and promises his students will have fun while learning to love music.
