About Ted Hale

Ted Hale has taught private lessons on all brass instruments since 1980, and has taught at Music & Arts on Bell Rd. since it opened in 2006: “Music & Arts is my all-time favorite place to teach; they are 100% supportive of all the teachers and have the best customer service I’ve seen in the music store retail business.”

In addition to teaching, Ted performs with the Tempe Symphony, Southwest Symphony (NM) and other area ensembles. He served as the General Manager and Pops Conductor of the Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale from 1997-2006. He was also principal trombone, and trombonist with the Lone Star Brass. Ted has toured, performed and recorded with Bob Hope, Dionne Warwick, Jim Nabors, the Spinners, Disney on Ice and many others. When not teaching, Ted serves as the Director of the Arizona State Archives and Records Management.

He holds a D.M. from Indiana University, M.M., from the University of Hartford and a B.M. from Capital University.
