About Me
Ted Tinker is a native of North Carolina. He received his Bachelors of Music in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. During his time as an undergraduate student at UNC-Pembroke, he was a performing brass member in the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps from 2013 – 2014 and was also a brass instructor at Music City Drum and Bugle Corps in the summer of 2015. Ted has been a brass instructor with the Crossmen for the past four competitive seasons as a tuba tech (2016-2020). Outside of Drum Corps, Ted is the director of bands at Swift Creek Middle School, located in Clayton, North Carolina where also assists as a winds/visual tech with the Cleveland High School Performance Ensembles. Ted has been a Music & Arts Instructor since 2019, and is excited to continue his student's independent growth through instrumental music education.
