Performance Experience

LITERARY & PERFORMING ARTS RESUME Acting, singing & dancing in Theatre since age 3. Co-wrote first album at 19; since then wrote & produced 12 original jazz rock albums, & five traditional Greek albums. Publishing transcriptions of Greek and Balkan song and dance music. Leading Folk Dances at festivals, parties, and classrooms, here and abroad, since 1984, Nightclub Jazz (since 1975) including Bumbershoot, On The Boards, Folklife. Live Radio (since 1978) on KZAM, KING, KAOS, KUGS, and KBCS. Rock Tenor in 1990's Motown bands, led 'diz' back to Musical Theatre., Musical Theatre: WWU (1984), Burien Little Theatre (1995), Tacoma Actors Guild (1996-7), Tacoma Musical Playhouse (2005-2019). and PLU (2020).

Teaching Experience

10 years experience in Public & Private Schools- Bands & Choir. Since 1984 Private woodwind studios in Bellevue, Tacoma & Puyallup.

About Tom 'diz' Carroll

Born 1958 in Seattle.  Middle child of 13 (including 7 adopted cousins).  Family meld created mid-70's jazz sensation HUGO ECKENER SEPTET. 

Many years alternating between Bellingham, NYC (universities), Seattle (work & gigs) & Europe blossomed with adopted Greek musical families in & around Thessaloniki. 

Living since 1989 in North Tacoma, with son Seamus, and his wife the lovely Gaye Winsor, siren of the legendary SKYBOYS.
