About Thomas Lopez

Tom Lopez has been a music teacher for Alamo, Monfrey, Mars, & H&H music stores in San Antonio, as well as the Judson School district Adult/Community Education Ctr. He is the co-owner/co-founder of the Universal City School of Music. Tom also worked for the legendary Southern Music Company in their Music Publishing dept. Tom first began playing drums at 10, and at 12 began playing Alto/Tenor saxophone in the Kirby Jr. High Falcon band, added Guitar/Bass at 13, and Baritone Sax in the Judson High School Rocket band. He began to study Classical Guitar at San Antonio College, and graduated from the University of Texas-San Antonio with a Degree in Music Marketing (Classical Guitar Principal). Tom teaches Guitar, Bass, Piano, Drums, and all Band and Orchestra, with ages ranging from 3 to 79! :)
