Music is my religion. -Jimi Hendrix
After high school I moved back to the Dallas area and joined a band with a group of my best friends. We spent a couple of years writing music, practiced weekly, and played tons of shows. I learned a lot about music and making music in my time with that band, but as with most bands, we ultimately split. During this same time I gained an interest in Audio Engineering when a friend brought his equipment over to record our band. I was hooked.
I soon went through the Audio Engineering program at Collin College in Frisco, Texas. After completing the program I started my own mobile recording studio called On The Run Studios. I've had the oppurtunity to work with many bands and artists recording demos, live shows, and audio for music videos. In March of 2013 I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas and complete my degree in Recording Technology.
I have been working at Music and Arts since 2011. I love being able to spend my time with musicians on a daily basis and seeing all of the young and aspiring students as they learn about the joy of music. In my tenure I have learned more about music and instruments than I ever imagined I would. I aspire to be a record producer and to write, perform, and make music in as many ways as possible.
