Performance Experience: I am a career guitarist, I have played in many groups ranging from Jazz to Rock, and in many settings including weddings, Busch Stadium Fox Midwest Live, concert halls such as The Sheldon, and many different bars/restaurants around the area. I have traveled to play shows in states including Texas, Florida, Montana, North Carolina etc.
Teaching Experience: Started teaching at Music and Arts in January 2019
Teaching Philosophy: Music can be challenging at any skill level, and it can be the most rewarding experience. I love to see my students progress and grow in music. You must be willing to take time and commit to practice, as well as listen to music that you enjoy.
Get to know Tristan Coan
I have been a musician my whole life. I decided to take my musical skills to the next level when I enrolled in the music program at SIUE in 2015. I learned a great deal of knowledge and skill from the professors at SIUE. I graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, with a specialty in Jazz Guitar.
