Born in Hartford, CT, Vince Caiafa has been playing drums since he was three and gigging professionally since fifteen. As a teenager, he developed an interest in all percussion instruments and learned from Benjamin Toth, the chair of the percussion department at The Hartt School of Music. Later, Vince attended the Hartt School in West Hartford, CT, and Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He studied under such teachers as Kim Plainfield, Ralph Peterson, Dave Samuels, and Mike Mangini. Vince has performed in several bands, orchestras, and chamber ensembles throughout New England, New York, California, and Colorado. Vince spends most of his time as a recording artist, clinician, and playing with two bands, Goodnight Freeman (Drums) and Groove N’ Motion featuring The Rocky Mountain Horns (Percussion). He currently teaches and performs throughout Colorado. Vince lives in Evergreen with his wife, Rachel, and their two dogs.
