About Walker

Originally from Juneau, Alaska, Walker’s passion for musical expression through drumming has taken him all over the world. A 2009 graduate of the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton School of Music, Walker has since spent his time in musical theatre pits in Portland, Oregon, as a show band drummer for Carnival Cruise Lines, and writing original music and touring with various artists in the Pacific Northwest.  Most recently, Walker has found a home as a drummer and percussion section leader for the 56th Army Band at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington, where he performs with the jazz-fusion group The 5 Man Trio. They have performed all over Japan, South Korea, and at Jazz Festivals throughout the Western United States, to include a memorable performance at the 60th Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey, CA.
