Believe it or not, back to school season is upon us again! If you have a student who will be in band or orchestra in the fall, make sure you've answered these 3 questions:
1) Is your instrument ready?
You're a second or third year player? All band and orchestra instruments need regular maintenance, typically two or three times a year. The Music & Arts repair hub services band and orchestra instruments for students all over Maryland! Get the instrument to us as soon as possible so you have it back in time for the first day of class!
First time in band or orchestra? HOW COOL! We can help you decide the best option for your student this year. We have flexible rental options available for band and orchestra instruments, as well as purchase options.
2) Do you have all your back to school supplies?
You've got your supplies for math class and english class, but what about band and orchestra class? Make sure you have new cleaning supplies (they're like a toothbrush- they get saliva on them, so switch them AT LEAST annually!), enough reeds, manuscript paper, etc.
Not sure what you need? At the store we have lists of common supplies that teachers at each school require for their students.
3) Have you enrolled in private lessons?
Private lessons are the best way to reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. Music & Arts is the nation's leading lessons provider, and we'd love to add you to our lessons family. Whether your student is brand new on the instrument or has been playing for years, our private lessons are customized to the individual, allowing a student to learn more effectively and have fun doing it!
If you have any music related questions for back to school time, don't hesitate to give us a call or stop by!
