Teaching Experience: 0-1 years. Abbey continues to pursue her passion in the beginning years of teaching and has 1 year of student teaching music internships where she has learned a lot to bring forth in her education.
Teaching Philosophy: Abbey believes that any student at any age, experience, playing ability can perform music in any way since music is an all around subject and connects with the major core subjects such as English, math, science, history, and more!
Get to know Ms. Abbey Wist
Abbey Wist has lived in Westminster all her life and has a love for music in the 4th grade playing violin. She then continued her musical path all through high school at Winters Mill High School, playing cello. Abbey then pursued her education in music with a bachelors of Instrument Music Education with her primary instrument being the cello. After graduating, she has received a job at St. John's Catholic School in Westminster, MD. She continues to pursue her career in music education and learn a lot more to come.
