Performance Experience: I have experience performing as a percussionist, drummer, bass player, and guitar player in multiple
ensemble settings including jazz bands, marching bands, percussion ensembles, symphonic bands, rock,
blues, R&B, and country cover bands.
Teaching Experience: I have taught private music lessons for many music companies and
privately for a number of years. I have also been a public-school music teacher and director for 18
years. I currently teach an elementary music and piano program for DeSoto ISD.
Teaching Philosophy: To create a significant learning environment for my students that offers them choice and ownership of their
learning and the opportunity to have a voice in their self-expression through music.
